Adult Ministries
Immanuel Lutheran has a variety of ways for you to be involved. From Bible studies, to LWML, to dartball; read below for a full listing of adult ministries at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Tuesday Morning Bible Breakfast
This group meets every Tuesday morning starting at 9 AM. This is an informal, lay-led Bible study group that meets to study the Word, have fellowship, and enjoy some breakfast goodies. The group invites you to join them on Tuesday mornings to learn more about God’s Word.
Wednesday Morning Bible Study
This group meets every Wednesday morning starting at 10am. This Bible Study is led by Pastor Lee. The topics vary throughout the year. Currently we are studying Christians is a woke world. You can join this Bible study either in person, or via zoom. For a zoom link please contact Pastor Lee, Pastor Mark, or the Church Office.
Adult confirmation classes are held based on interest. If you are an adult and wish to be confirmed, Pastor Lee would be happy to set up a class time with you.
Special Music
Immanuel invites you to share your talents through special music. We enjoy having vocalist and instrumentalists accompanying our organ during services. We enjoy a variety of styles of music, including gospel, spirituals, contemporary choral pieces, and traditional Lutheran hymns. Anyone is invited to come and sing or play an instrument. If you would like to share your talents with us with special music, please contact Pastor Lee or the church office!
The Board of Evangelism is currently made up of three elected members of the congregation, several ad hoc members, as well as any volunteers who would like to assist this group in its ministry efforts. This group is involved in a number of projects.
LWML is an organization for women in our congregation that focuses on growing in God’s Word and on working together on missionary and service projects. Our LWML group is affiliated with the national LWML organization which is part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. We are part of the Alexandria Zone, Lakeland I Region, and MN North District.
FootCare
The Foot of the Cross is a monthly footcare ministry held the first Thursday of each month. This
service is open to anyone in the surrounding community who needs help with their footcare and
nail cutting. On the first Thursday of the month from 9:00- 11:00 AM volunteers come in to do
footcare and nail cutting. Please bring your own towel. There is no cost or need to preregister.
Footcare will be cancelled if the Parkers Prairie Schools are closed or starting late due to
weather.
Our congregation has one dartball team that participate in an area men’s church dartball league.
Teams play once a month from September through March.
Contact Dennis Karger or Pastor Lee if you are interested in joining a team.
