Pastor Lee will be at St Paul’s, Granite Falls, this afternoon to officiate at the ordination and installation of their new pastor, Jeffrey Siegel.

A big thank you to everyone for the generous gifts last weekend which were perfectly timed to help pay our property insurance, vicar moving and regular mid-month bills. God provides in amazing and wonderful ways.

CAN YOU HELP?

Sunday School Teachers meeting will be Monday, August 18 at 7 PM. A teacher for the three year old class is needed as well as helpers and substitutes for various grades. Contact Audrey Klukken or Pastor if you can help.

A Door Offering will be taken next weekend to support the work of the Gideons in providing Bibles to hotels, students, military, etc.

Pop & Brats are for sale in the kitchen. Pop is .20 a can. Brats are $3/package and are in the freezer. Pay Pastor, Vicar or Gloria.

We have 3 printer ink cartridges: a Color HP 41, Black HP 45, Black Lexmark #70. If you can use any of these, please stop by the office and pick them up.

Wanted: School supplies for Parkers Prairie students in need. Backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons and all other school supplies are needed. There is a box in the narthex and a list of special items. A cash donation may also be given. Donations are needed by August 24.

Lutheran Island Camp is asking congregations to participate in a district-wide gathering of funds to winterize the chapel. If you have an idea for gathering funds at Immanuel, please talk to pastor or Norman Barge, who serves on LIC’s Board of Directors.

PLAN TO ATTEND

Prayer Group will meet Saturday, August 30, at 9:30 AM. Everyone is welcome.

Taste of India will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran in Alexandria on August 20 from 4-7 PM. This dinner buffet will feature a variety of ethnic Indian food. The free will offering will support the building of a new orphanage for 150 children and 40 widows. There will also be a silent auction. This is a great opportunity to meet Evangelist Raj and his wife Juyona from India. Connie Meyer-Schultz, daughter of Darlene Wilke of Immanuel, helps coordinate support for this ministry. Several Immanuel members support orphans at Mercy Orphanages. Raj & Juyona will speak at Mt Calvary, Miltona, on August 24 at 2:30 PM.
